First Module - 11-15 July 2022

The first module of the Zimbabwe Leadership Training Programme was held from 11-15 July 2022 at the Chinhoyi Pastoral Centre, coordinated by Fr. Wenceslaus Kwindingwi, Sr. Immaculate Nakato and Fr. Dominic Apee Ayine.

There were 42 participants from 12 different congregations. Most of the Major Superiors came with their full councils although some could not manage to participate. Input and activities in the plenary focused on their personal and ongoing formation and development.

In their teams they focused specifically on aspects of team dynamics, issues they encounter with as teams and the search for each other and God in their leadership roles. In their learning groups they focused on learning from other congregations and teams.

The programme went well, and the participants appreciated the formation received. It was the first time that Faith and Praxis reached out to Zimbabwe The Conference of Major Religious Superiors of Zimbabwe were very appreciative of this outreach.

Some comments from the participants from their evaluations:

The module was enlightening, motivating us to do even more in our leadership, empowering us to holistic leadership.

I feel energized, encouraged, and empowered through self-awareness and through this I may be able to embrace others.

Being together as diverse congregations and sharing different experiences has added value to my own leadership skills.

I feel empowered and renewed.
